Thinking inside the box?

There comes a time in every artist's life to venture outside their medium/comfort zone and step into another artist's shoes. Today was that day. Since 2004 I have been known for and branded as a "photographer". This is not to say that is not my title or main medium because indeed it is. However, it didn't always start out that way nor do I believe I will end up as such.I am more than just a camera. When I was young I grew up in quite a creative, energetic household. My father liked to draw and used to make us puppets and cutouts to play with as kids. My mother loved music and could be found singing in church or to get us to sleep. My brother became heavily involved in cartoons and with all that said and done in many ways I followed in all of their footsteps. To this day I love music, play bass guitar and sing. Top Ten Reasons to Adventure.

I have officially been on the road for almost 3 months now. Homeless and happy is how I like to refer to it. Back in November 2018 I got rid of my art studio in New York and started my long awaited venture to permanently uproot myself and business to my other home in Colorado. So far things have been going great with only a few minor bumps in the road. So in honor of a new year and my recent travel adventures including but not limited to me riding/photographing/visiting 4 states, 8 mountains and enjoying countless cups of coffee, I have made a list of the top 10 reasons one should get out and adventure. This is not to say that we all need to uproot our entire lives move, across country and start over. In fact the opposite. Everyone now and then just needs a little away time to reflect, regroup and figure out what and who is truly important in their lives. So without further ado, here we go... 1. Push It to the Limit

After a month long hiatus and some well needed hermit time in my art studio in New York, I am feeling refreshed, inspired and ready to take on the world! Here I am am once again at the helm managing the GoPro Digital Lab at Woodward Camp in Pennsylvania. As I sit here writing this, it is day 3 of the oh so exciting part of my job (insert sarcasm here); setting up the lab, organizing gear, computers, layouts and the like. However, today is also the first day of camp which has given me that extra boost of energy I so needed to watch apple updates tick away and get stoked about the next 10 weeks. With that in mind it is nice to see familiar faces and feel the energy and excitement from all the kids roaming around. An added bonus is I get to spend half the summer with my best friend Betsy as not only my partner in crime but also my co-worker in the lab.
